In 1883, The count Guillaume-Guy de Dampierre (1849-1906) purchases the land of Nieuil and builds the current château with the help of the local architect Alexandre Mignon.
Guillaume-Guy de Dampierre (1849-1906) was owner of the Chateau de Nieuil. He made a push in 1900 with the vineyard of Brénanchie, known locally.
