The Chateau fort des Angles, dominates the village below it.
Built during the XIth century, given up from the 15th by the barons des Angles, the chateau left in abandonment then fell in ruin.
The chateau remained a ruin sat there until 1980. A building lost in the middle of the coppices of chataigners remained only one wall at the entry of the site and the tower, still imposing, of which a part had collapsed.
In 1980, Cernaix Jack and his wife managed to repurchase the ruins and the grounds. The tower was rebuilt, according to the plans of the architects for the buildings of France, identical to that of original construction, as well as the old home which is a rural lodging today. The whole of the buildings thus restored leaves a strong visual impression so much so that this chateau now has an identity element included in the logo of the Community de Baronnie des Angles again.
