The Chateau de Pont Remy in the Somme department, also known in the urbexing world as the Chateau Clochard (meaning the 'homeless man' or 'tramp' a reference to its abandoned state) or the Chateau Pianiste (for the number of pianos that used to left at the site).
The Chateau has been the site of numerous historical visitors over time including the Cardinal Richelieu, it was rebuilt after being destroyed during the hundred year war (1337 - 1453).
An association was set up in 2007 to persuade the owners to save this historic monument.
August 13th 2012 the Chateau was severely damaged by fire, halting a planned community renovation and restoration program.
A sad loss.
